Johanna Kirsch graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. She also studied in Berlin (KHB Weissensee, Post Graduate of Art, Architecture & design) and in the Jan Van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. Her videos were screened on different filmfestivals around the whole world.

Her work contains many different media, going from performance to video and drawings. The work deals with the search for and the experiment with possible strategies that lead to autonomy and selfdetermination.
