?1975, lives and works in Antwerp.
Tina Schott has been creating an artificial fantasy world of beautiful fiction and tragic ugliness ever since she discovered the garbage container of the Olympic village in Munich in the early 80's. Her works consist of collages, drawings, videos, flyers, clothes, actions and installations, most of the time made in cooperation with Tina Kohlmann and Isabelle Fein, but always filled with humour and spielerei.
Since 2002, she has been running the Roxi in Offenbach together with Tina Kohlmann, turning a former public toilet into a weekly meeting point for music, art and drinking. A double-lp released in 2005 archived all the bands that played in the Roxi ever since its opening. A second lp is planned for 2008.
Tina Schott publishes Jack magazine (with Isabelle Fein) and Laser Magazine (with Michael Satter, Nicole Klein and Tina Kohlmann). She's also a member of the Szpilman jury, awarding works that exist only for a moment or a short period of time. The purpose of the award is to promote such works whose forms consist of ephemeral situations.
Tina Schott studied at the Hochschule f¸r Gestaltung in Offenbach and at the Staedelschule in Frankfurt. She won the Focus Award 2003 for the film "In den G‰rten meiner Tˆchter" (together with Isabelle Fein & Tina Kohlmann), which was shown on festivals all over the world. With her collages, she was part of several group exhibitions. The Roxi will continue to exist in the form of evenings, exhibitions, activities and dj-sets, in Offenbach/Frankfurt or elsewhere.
